An Open Water diving course has duration of minimum 5 days. Each day begins at 09:00 and usually finishes at 17:00. Half of your day is in the classroom. The Padi Open Water theory is divided into 5 modules, which will be presented by your instructor and teaching aids like videos. On the last day of your course, you will do a written exam with a minimum pass rate of 70%. The best part of the course will be spent in the water. During this time you will learn basic skills for safe and enjoyable diving. The first confined water sessions will be done in pool-like conditions in the relaxed atmosphere and tropical waters of the Dolphin Reef. Eventually you will continue to open water where you will learn how to dive safely to a maximum depth of 18 meters. Your dives will be amongst dolphins, a variety of fish and corals as well as at some of the best diving sites in Eilat.
Students who successfully pass the written and practical examination on the last day receive an internationally recognized dive certificate. They are qualified to dive to a depth of 20 meters (65 feet) with an Advanced Open Water or higher-level dive buddy.
