The following information will familiarize you with the procedure for applying to the “Supportive Experience with the Aid of Dolphins” program.

The program is run on a voluntary basis, staffed by caring people who want to contribute their time and effort to those in need in order to improve their quality of life. The dolphin trainers at Dolphin Reef are those who work with the children.

We would like to point out that the supportive experience is not a form of medical treatment, or an alternative to medical treatment, and must be arranged in agreement with the other therapists, psychologists or doctors involved.

In order for the program to be effective, the applicant must participate in a series of sessions over a period of at least one year (4 days each month) or 2 weeks every 2-2½ month.

Fees
Although the staff works on voluntary basis, many of the activities require a substantial outlay of funds.
The participant and his family may enjoy the facilities at Dolphin Reef for the entire day.
Fees are to be paid in advance of each 4 day session, any session which has not been paid for 30 days prior to the scheduled date will be canceled.

C. The fees do not include travel, accommodation or meals.

To participate in the program, application  forms need to be filled out - please do so carefully and return them to us by mail and/or fax. We have numerous requests for the program and we must check each inquiry very thoroughly. The information on the forms will help our staff determine whether the program is suited to your needs.
