Introductory Dive at Dolphin Reef

Fulfilling a dream...

If you've ever dreamed of visiting a magical world, detached from everyday noise, floating weightlessly, surrounded by vibrant fish and corals, and experiencing dolphins in their natural habitat, an introductory dive at Dolphin Reef is your chance to enjoy it all—no prior experience required. Want to learn more?

  • Anyone aged 8 or older (no exceptions as this is a legal requirement), in good health (see medical eligibility form and expectations), and comfortable swimming in the sea can join an introductory dive at Dolphin Reef. No prior diving or swimming experience is necessary.
Note: Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult (21 years or older) while at the site (this does not apply to the dive itself). Accompanying adults must pay the entrance fee.
Health declaration and participation approval forms for minors must be signed by a parent or guardian.

  • Introductory dives are available every day the site is open, throughout the year (except Yom Kippur and Memorial Day), from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. We recommend arriving at least an hour before the activity to secure parking, prepare at the beach, and check in at the dive club in a relaxed manner.
Please note: Due to sea conditions or unforeseen circumstances, the scheduled activity may be delayed or canceled without prior notice.

  • Upon arrival at the dive club, you will be asked to sign a health declaration (required by diving authority regulations). The staff will fit you with the necessary equipment, including a wetsuit to maintain body warmth during the dive. You will then meet your personal dive instructor, who will explain the diving procedure, how to use the equipment, how to breathe underwater, and the rules for underwater behavior.
The preparation and briefing take about 30 minutes, after which you'll enter the water. Following a brief practice session in shallow water to get comfortable, the dive will begin. Your instructor will stay close to you throughout the dive, holding your hand and ensuring a gradual process at your own pace. After the dive, they will assist you with exiting the water, removing the equipment, and directing you to a hot shower. The dive lasts about 25 minutes, with a maximum depth of 6 meters.

  • No! Since the dolphins are completely free to roam, they decide whether or not to approach. However, even without dolphins, the rich underwater scenery and the experience of breathing and floating underwater guarantee an exciting and memorable adventure.

  • No! Our relationship with the dolphins is based on respect and free choice. The dolphins choose whether to approach us, and we respect their choice by not touching them. So yes, you can see them, but no touching!

  • All diving equipment is provided by the dive club. You only need to bring a swimsuit, towel, and flip-flops or water shoes for comfortable walking to the water.

  • Due to the dolphins' sensitivity, only trained photographers who can recognize dolphin behavior are allowed to take underwater photos. Photography services are available for an additional fee, and detailed information on options and prices will be provided at the dive desk and during the briefing.
Personal cameras are not allowed in the water within the dolphin area.

  • The number of participants is limited, so we recommend booking several days in advance. During holidays and school vacations, we advise booking several weeks in advance.

    • Adult (15 and older): 385 NIS per participant

    • Child (8-14): 355 NIS per participant
