Snorkeling at Dolphin Reef
Can anyone participate in snorkeling at the Dolphin Reef?
Snorkeling at the Dolphin Reef is suitable for individuals aged 10 and above, in good health, and confident in deep water. The activity is conducted in small groups of up to 4 participants, in a slow and relaxed manner, floating on the stomach for about 30 minutes. A guide leads and accompanies the group throughout the activity.
Important: Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult (aged 21 or older) while at the site (though not during the activity itself). The accompanying adult's entry requires payment of the entrance fee to the Dolphin Reef.
Snorkeling sessions are subject to the site’s operating days, sea conditions, and are available at selected times between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM.
After registration and receiving the equipment, there’s a briefing where participants are introduced to water behavior guidelines and interaction rules with the dolphins. The preparation and briefing take about 30 minutes. Upon entering the water, there’s a short adjustment period, followed by approximately 25 minutes of snorkeling in the dolphin area.
Tip: Arrive at least an hour before the activity to find parking, prepare on the beach, and calmly reach the diving club desk. No, the dolphins are completely free, with no barriers or restrictions. They choose whether to approach or not. Even without dolphins, the rich underwater scenery ensures an exciting and enjoyable experience.
During snorkeling, you’ll observe dolphins in their natural environment. If a dolphin approaches, it’s entirely their choice. Respecting their decision, touching them is not permitted. Watching? Yes. Touching? No.
The diving club provides a wetsuit (for warmth and buoyancy), fins, a snorkel, and a mask. You’ll only need to bring a swimsuit, towel, and flip-flops for walking to the water.
